I agree an update after v1.20.409 BETA would be nice too

As a test, I've just reverted my PS3MS to the non-beta "v1.10.5". It's working much better for me than the current beta. I was having all sorts of slowdowns and network errors before, but now it's nice and smooth, folders load quickly. I convert most of my MKV's to .ts, so I can't say as to how it's working for those. For my needs, this is the way to go for now.

I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.4, dunno which version of Java I have. Glad someone suggested this. :)

Yeah, I might do the same. Hey, whats the best way to convert the MKV files like you are? While I like the 1080p quality, sometimes they are problematic to stream.
Thanks in advance.

Try VoxMac's build of tsMuxerGUI for Snow Leopard (if you're on Snow Leopard)...basically it re-saves the file as a .ts without any video processing/converting, just a fast re-save, which the PS3 happily plays. :) I have had trouble with the odd MKV resulting in out of sync audio, but it pretty much works for about 90% of the content I use it for.

Here's the link: http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.ph ... ostcount=8

More info in the rest of that thread. There's a couple things you may have to do to get it to work (deleting a couple Mac fonts, but nothing crazy). Backup your system first. :)

Sorry to hijack the thread here, hope this helps. :)

Yeah, sorry about the hijack, it was technically my fault. That tsMuxer seems pretty cool though! MKVs are great and all, but m2ts stream much better in my experience. Now I can convert those MKVs to something the PS3 likes a little better.

And now back to your normal programming... :)

Ironically, PS3MS has been running OK lately. :)

I am running the 1.20.409 beta. When I check the "iTunes Library" checkbox, the app takes something like 5 minutes to start up, before it successfully contacts my PS3.

If I then navigate into my "Music" folder, the PS3 just complains that there was a DLNA timeout. My music collection really isn't that large, around 1000 songs, I think.

With iTunes Library turned off the app comes up quickly and I can successfully navigate to the Music folder.

System: Macbook Intel (1st generation) with a Core Duo proc at 2 GHZ. 2 GB of RAM. The latest Snow Leopard patches. Using 802.11 over a Linksys wireless n router.

I already reported this problem a few months ago... this is a known problem...
The only answer I got was "disable it for now"...

Hi,

Is it possible to include IMDB support in the last build ?
( the special build for IMDB has correct bug like the latest perfect version build ?)

The mac version uses a special build script so that's why it might not work. I've made a ready to go version for mac that includes this patch on the latest beta. It's working great for me.

The patches don't apply anymore on the latest revision so I had to do them manually, you might want to update them. I'll do some more testing soon and see if we can include this in the next official version. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the latest build, no bug detect, perfect !
